Gardai in Dublin are searching for two armed raiders who escaped with a substantial sum of money after they held up a security van in Leopardstown this morning.

Gardai in Dublin are searching for two armed raiders who escaped with a substantial sum of money after they held up a security van in Leopardstown this morning.

The pair approached the van on a motorbike at around 11am while it was servicing an ATM in the area.

The raiders discharged one shot from a sawn-off shotgun before escaping with five bags of cash.

Gardai have declined to say how much money was in the bags.
