Mother found after disappearing from psychiatric facility

The mother of the 8-year-old boy, Karl Murphy, who was found dead on Greystones Beach last month, was found last night in Bray, Co Wicklow after she disappeared from a care facility at the Newcastle psychiatric hospital.

The mother of the 8-year-old boy, Karl Murphy, who was found dead on Greystones Beach last month, was found last night in Bray, Co Wicklow after she disappeared from a care facility at the Newcastle psychiatric hospital.

Ruth Murphy, 39, went missing from the hospital at about 8.40pm last night and Gardai were reported to have been concerned for her safety.

Ms Murphy had been admitted to psychiatric care following the suspicious death of her son on the 22nd of June.
