Four people remain in Garda custody this morning following their arrests in relation to 'cash-in-transit' van robberies.

Four people remain in Garda custody this morning following their arrests in relation to 'cash-in-transit' van robberies.

Gardaí arrested three men, two in their 20s and one in his 30s, after a car was stopped and searched yesterday afternoon in Knocklyon, Co. Dublin.

Its believed Gardaí may have intercepted the gang en route to a robbery after the discovery of a sawn-off shotgun and sledge hammer in the vehicle.

A woman in her 20s, was also arrested as part of the operation.
