The Minister for Community Affairs, Eamon O’Cuiv, is due to launch an anti-racism public information pack later today.

The launch follows the publication of figures showing that the number of racially-motivated incidents reported in Ireland had increased significantly after the Government’s citizenship referendum last May.

The National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism said it had received reports of 50 racially-motivated incidents in the four months since the referendum, compared to an average of 47 every six months over the past three years.
