A 28-year-old man was recovering today after he was shot in the leg in the North.

A 28-year-old man was recovering today after he was shot in the leg in the North.

The man was wounded last night in a paramilitary-style shooting in Newtownabbey in Co Antrim, near Belfast.

He was bundled into a car in the Pinewood area and driven to Cloughfern Corner.

The victim was dumped outside the car and shot in the leg. He was discovered at around 8pm and taken to hospital.
