A Co Antrim man has become a millionaire after finishing 12th in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

A Co Antrim man has become a millionaire after finishing 12th in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

John Magill beat some of the best players in the world to win over $1.15m (€903,902) earlier this week.

The Ballymena man battled through a field of almost 9,000 players and was the sole remaining representative of the UK and Ireland in the tournament.

His previous personal best was a $1,300 win.
