Banking Inquiry 'clumsily handled from the beginning' says Labour Minister

Minister for Communications Pat Rabbitte said today that the addition of two extra Government Senators to the Banking Inquiry has been "clumsily handled".

He said however that it is important to get on with the inquiry.

"It was a bit clumsily handled from the beginning.," he said.

"The decision in the Seanad that originated this problem should not have happened, it is unfortunate these things happen, and we just get on with it."
