Three men have been arrested after an armed raid in a Dublin suburb today.

Gardai say at around 3pm this afternoon two masked men carrying a gun walked into a shop in the Bawnogue Shopping Centre in Clondalkin.

They threatened staff and made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

Local Gardai later arrested three men in their twenties, at a house in the nearby Lealand estate.

The men are being held tonight at Clondalkin Garda station.

A sum of cash and a gun was discovered during a follow up operation.
