Gardaí are investigating two shooting incidents in Dublin overnight.

Gardaí are investigating two shooting incidents in Dublin overnight.

Shortly before 2am, two shotgun blasts were fired through a bedroom window of a house in west Dublin. It happened at Cherryfield Close in Clonsilla.

Less than an hour later, two shots were fired at the front door of a house at Buttercup Park in Darndale.

No one was injured in either shooting and Gardaí have preserved the scenes for technical examinations.

A 53-year-old man remains in custody in Blanchardstown, in connection with a shooting in Clonsilla early yesterday morning.
