PSNI patrol comes under attack by youths in Belfast

A police patrol in the North has been attacked by up to 40 youths. The police had been helping to resuscitate a woman who had collapsed in her home in Belfast at around 8pm last night.

A police patrol in the North has been attacked by up to 40 youths. The police had been helping to resuscitate a woman who had collapsed in her home in Belfast at around 8pm last night.

The gang, whose members were aged between 10 and 15, hurled bricks and stones at an armed Land Rover in the Glenalina area of the city.

The vehicle was damaged and taken out of service to be repaired.

The bricks and stones reportedly narrowly missed hitting an ambulance leaving the scene.

No one was hurt.
