Two goals in three minutes from Colin O'Brien and David Freeman overturned a 2-0 deficit as Drogheda got their first point of the season.

Derry looked in command after Gareth McGlynn made it 2-0 nine minutes into the second half when controlling Eamon Zayed's flick to shoot past David Quirke.

Zayed had put Derry in front as early as six minutes against his former club.

But Mick Cook's side hit back on 63 minutes with O'Brien shooting home from over 20 yards.

O'Brien was then tripped inside the area by keeper Doherty two minutes later and Freeman slotted home the resultant spot kick.
