Ireland's Ken Doherty has suffered defeat to fellow Dubliner Michael Judge in his opening game of the Snooker Grand Prix.

Ireland's Ken Doherty has suffered defeat to fellow Dubliner Michael Judge in his opening game of the Snooker Grand Prix.

Judge produced an upset to win 4-3 in Aberdeen in the group phase of the competition last night.

Doherty is back in action today, facing both Ricky Walden and Ian McCulloch.

Elsewhere, Fergal O'Brien suffered two defeats yesterday, losing 4-3 to Marcus Campbell and 4-1 to Anthony Hamilton.

Gerard Greene, meanwhile, has secured a place in the quarter-finals after beating Dominic Dale 4-0.
