Man arrested in connection with Kilkenny death

A man in his twenties has been arrested in connection with the death of another man during a row in Kilkenny in the early hours of this morning.

A man in his twenties has been arrested in connection with the death of another man during a row in Kilkenny in the early hours of this morning.

The alarm was raised when a Garda patrol car came upon the row at St John’s Green, Kilkenny.

The dead man has not been identified at this stage.

A full garda technical team is at the scene and a post mortem is being carried out.

The arrested man is being held at Kilkenny Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Police were appealing for witnesses to come forward.
