Belgium’s Tom Boonen won his second successive stage of the Tour de France in Tours today.

Belgium’s Tom Boonen won his second successive stage of the Tour de France in Tours today.

The Quick Step rider, winner of the Paris Roubaix and Tour of Flanders classics this year, sprinted clear of a bunch sprint to take the line.

It meant the 24-year-old tightened his grip on the sprinters’ green jersey, while the American Team CSC rider David Zabriskie held on to the yellow jersey.

Defending champion Lance Armstrng remains two seconds behind Zabriskie in the general classification.
