RUC rubber bullets are safe - Reid
The Northern Secretary John Reid has been defending the continued use of rubber bullets by the RUC.
Dr Reid said that while continued use of the weapon goes against the Patten proposals, the North's security situation means that they are still required and are used because there is no other alternative.
He added that the rounds currently in use are far safer than previous versions.
