'New bill does not protect immigrant children'
The Government is being urged to give better protection to immigrant children who have been separated from their families.
Many children come to Ireland after fleeing their home countries, leaving their family members behind.
The Irish Refugee Council has claimed the new Immigration, Residence and Protection Bill which is working its way through the Oireachtas this week, does not offer enough protection to these under 18s.
