The annual Reek Sunday pilgrimmage is taking place at Croagh Patrick today.

Up to 30,000 are expected to make the climb in May, which has taken place annually for 1,500 years.

Mountain Rescue Ireland are this morning launching a national fundraising initiative, and will be on standby to help out with any injuries.
