Gormley announces Long new assistant

Bray Wanderers Manager Eddie Gormley has made his first appointment with former Dundalk, St. Patrick’s Athletic and Bray Wanderers player Keith Long taking on the role of assistant manager.

Bray Wanderers Manager Eddie Gormley has made his first appointment with former Dundalk, St. Patrick’s Athletic and Bray Wanderers player Keith Long taking on the role of assistant manager.

Keith Long, 35, started his career with Stoke City before joining Dundalk in 1993.

He joined St. Patrick’s Athletic in 1996 and soon established himself as a regular in the Saints side that won the Premier Division in 1997/98 and 1998/99.

Keith joined Bray Wanderers in July 2000 after returning from a year in Australia.

He made 138 appearances in all competitions for the Seagulls before retiring at the end of the 2005 season.

Following their 1-1 draw away to Drogheda United last Friday, Bray Wanderers take on Cork City in a re-arranged Premier Division game in Turner’s Cross this Friday 29th September.
