Police in the North are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a nightclub in Belfast city centre this morning.

Police in the North are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a nightclub in Belfast city centre this morning.

Around 50 firefighters spent up to two hours battling the blaze at Dempsey's on the Dublin Road, which broke out sometime before 4am.

The Fire Service says it may have been started deliberately.

There was nobody in the building at the time and no one was injured in the fire.
