Second man held in connection with Portrush murder

Police in the North have arrested a second man in connection with the murder of William Meek in Co Antrim earlier this week.

Police in the North have arrested a second man in connection with the murder of William Meek in Co Antrim earlier this week.

The 35-year-old's body was found in a burned-out flat in Portrush on Wednesday morning.

Mr Meek, who was originally from north Belfast, is believed to have died from head injuries.

One man was arrested in connection with his death on Wednesday and a second was detained last night.
