Galway looking to keep out of drop zone

Galway United face league leaders Bohemians at Terryland Park tonight with both sides in need of all three points, kick-off 7.45pm.

Galway are looking for victory to keep them out of the relegation play-off position, while Bohs will win the league if they win their remaining three games.

United have a miserable record against Bohs and have not scored against the Phibsboro side in their last eight encounters and have lost all.

The last time United beat Bohs was in 1999 when Kieran Foley scored a hat-trick away from home.

The last time United have beaten Bohs at home dates back to 1994 when Jumbo Brennan, Ronan Killeen and Donnie Farragher scored.

United should have the same squad from their mid-week game with Mark O'Toole (hand) ruled out and John Russell (ankle) expected to miss out.

Bohs defender Ken Oman is a doubt as he is struggling with a hamstring injury.

Owen Heary and Mark Rossiter are back training and may be ready to return.

Jason McGuinness remains injured but Killian Brennan who went off on Tuesday is reported fit to play.

Bohs have no suspensions. Gary Deegan played for 20 minutes on Tuesday, following his long period on the sidelines.

Manager Pat Fenlon said: “Playing Galway is always difficult. Ian (Foster) has done very well there in difficult circumstances.”
