Parents are this evening, continuing to report that they are yet to receive orders from Schoolbooks.ie

It is understood a group of frustrated people gathered at the company distribution centre in Dublin this afternoon hoping to pick up their school books.

In a statement earlier today, Schoolbooks.ie said it had managed to clear the backlog of customer orders.

The online retailer confirmed again this evening that over the last 8 days - 5,800 customer orders were delivered - 800 more than the original backlog of 5,000.

It also said that it will deliver a further 1,100 orders up until 8pm tonight.
