Town recorded their biggest victory of the season against hapless Drogheda.

Alan Kirby's short corner to Sean Dillon was flicked on by Eric Lavine for Graham Gartland to shoot home at the back post for the lead on 26 minutes.

They were 2-0 up nine minutes later when Lavine was again involved to set up Sean Francis who turned to blast the ball to the net.

Lavine then punished a defensive blunder to add the third on 40 minutes with a simple tap in after Drogheda keeper Gary Rogers collided with Lee Jones.

Andy Myler then failed to get Drogheda back into it when Stephen O'Brien saved his 55th minute penalty before Sean Prunty added Town's fourth a minute later.

Liam Kelly then rowed in with the fifth three minutes from time.
