A 43-year-old man has today appeared before Dublin District Court, charged in connection with a stabbing in South Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A 43-year-old man has today appeared before Dublin District Court, charged in connection with a stabbing in South Dublin in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Leslie Mullarkey (aged 43) with addresses at Ravensdale Park and at Tymonwood Crescent in Tallaght, has been charged with assault causing harm. He has been granted bail.

William O'Brien, 40, was taken to hospital after he was discovered with stab wounds, outside a house at Ravensdale Park in Kimmage.

His injuries are believed to be serious but not life threatening.
