Construction employment up 4.1%
Employment in private firms in the construction industry in Ireland increased by 4.1% in March 2005 by comparison with March 2004, says the Central Statistics Office.
The monthly employment index increased from 103.1 in March 2004 to 107.3 in March 2005.
The annual increase in employment was 4.4% for February 2005.
These figures cover firms with five or more people employed.
