Industrial disputes wipe out 123 Q1 days
During the first quarter of 2005, there were 123 days lost to industrial disputes, according to the Central Statistics Office.
This compares with 2,569 for the same period last year and is the lowest number of days lost in any quarter since quarterly records began in 1985.
There was one dispute in progress in the first quarter of 2005, involving 86 workers and one organisation.
The public administration and defence sector accounted for the total days lost in Q1 2005.
