The ISEQ index had a very good morning, gaining 75.42 points to 5906.86.
The financials all performed well, with Anglo up 20c (2.2%) at €9.15 and AIB, the morning’s busiest share, also up 20c (1.3%) at €15.95.
Irish Life and Permanent gained 5c to €13.00, while Bank of Ireland was up 3c at €11.75.
However, insurance group FBD dropped 37c (1.7%) to €22.03.
In the building sector, CRH gained 25c (1.3%) to €19.50, while Grafton was unchanged at €8.83, despite heavy trading.
Donegal Creameries suspended trading temporarily today, pending the announcement of 2004 results.
