The premiership clash of Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford this afternoon has been dubbed the game of the season.

Manchester Utd have been struggling to find their form this season and remain 11 points adrift of their rivals, who have not been defeated in 49 successive Premiership matches.

Arsenal captain Patrick Viera will undergo a late fitness test as he has been struggling with an ankle injury picked up against Aston Villa, while Manchester United skipper Roy Keane has been struggling with a flu virus which forced him out of the Champions League trip to Prague in midweek.

John O'Shea is expected to continue in central midfield if Keane fails to make into the Reds squad which has been boosted by the return of Rio Ferdinand and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Quinton Fortune has been hit with a calf injury and is a definite non starter for Man. Utd.

Arsenal manager Arse Wenger has said he has no qualms about playing 17-year-old Cesc Fabregas in his third game in eight days if Viera does not recover in time.

The Gunners will be without the injured Gilberto Silva but have Dennis Bergkamp available.
