Pro-Palestinian groups will protest the 60th anniversary of the State of Israel in Dublin later today.

The demonstrations will start out at the Central Bank in Dublin before a rally is held at the GPO this afternoon.

The event will also highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Spokesperson for the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, David Landy says the world must take immediate action.

“We’re calling on the Irish government and the EU not to stand idly by and not to give Israel the green light to continue its policy of starving hundreds of thousand of innocent people in Gaza,” he said.
