European Commission approves €13m flood relief funds

Ireland is a step closer to getting a €13m cash injection from Europe after the European Commission approved the Government's application for flooding relief funds.

Ireland is a step closer to getting a €13m cash injection from Europe after the European Commission approved the Government's application for flooding relief funds.

But the decision is subject to the green light also being given by the European Parliament and the 27 EU Governments.

The final cost of last year's flood damage stands at over €520m.
