A mountain climber has died after getting into difficulty on the Dingle Peninsula in Co Kerry.
The alarm was raised yesterday evening when the man, who had been climbing close to the Conor Pass, got separated from a group of around 12 other climbers.
Kerry Mountain Rescue launched a major search operation however just before 10pm yesterday.
The man's body was recovered around a kilometre from where he was last seen.
It is understood that he may have got swept away while trying to cross a river.
