Man caught driving fake taxi due in court today

A man who was found to be driving a fake taxi in Dublin earlier this month, is due back in court later today.

The 38-year-old was pulled over by Gardaí on Bride Street in the inner-city, with a female passenger in the car.

The man's car had a counterfeit roof sign and taxi stickers.

He was also found to be driving while disqualified.

The case prompted Gardai to warn the public to be vigilant of bogus taxi operators.
