Today marks the deadline for the public to submit its suggestions to the Oireachtas Justice Committee, on how our prostitution laws could be strengthened.
The Turn Off the Red Light Campaign has garnered the support of over 57 organisations, including trade unions, human rights and victim organisations, frontline emergency workers and it has also got over 44,000 followers on twitter.
The campaign would like to see the government introduce new laws, whereby the person purchasing sex would be criminalised.
