A girl of 15 was subjected to a terrifying rape in west Belfast, police revealed tonight.
The victim was attacked by a man in his late 30s after leaving shops on the Glen Road.
Although the assault happened 10 days ago, police were alerted only after the girl confided in a relative at the weekend.
She was grabbed from behind and indecently assaulted near St Louise’s School on September 23.
After a struggle the man dragged her into the grounds of the Glenmona Resource Centre where she was raped, police said.
The attacker is described as chubby with a distinctive short moustache and a pierced right ear.
The sex attack came just weeks after another 15-year-old girl was raped on the Black’s Road, west Belfast.
On that occasion the gloating rapist used a mobile phone stolen from the young victim, who was on holiday from England, to call her mother and reveal what he had just done.
