Repak are launching their 2011 Recycling Appeal today and urging people to take the time to deal with all the extra waste created over the Easter period.

As well as the waste created by Easter egg packaging, more than 5.7 million litres of wine are expected to be consumed, as well as 67 million litres of beer.

Repak spokesman Darrell Crowe said that the facilities exist now for every household to deal with the waste in an environmentally friendly fashion.
