On Friday, SIPTU officials said staff at the plant planned to go on strike this Tuesday, in response to their employer’s alleged refusal to recognise union representation for workers.

However, this morning the trade union has issued a statement saying this action has now been deferred, and that management and workers will meet at the Labour Relations Commission this Thursday.
