Public transport commuters who use monthly and annual travel passes are facing increased fares from November.

Fares are to increase by as much as 10%, according to the National Transport Authority.

The NTA has approved fare increases to monthly and annual tickets issued by Dublin Bus, Iarnród Éireann, Bus Éireann and the Railway Procurement Agency, which operates the Luas.

The NTA say it is now looking at increasing other fares across all services for 2013.
