Former All-Ireland winning Cork boss Billy Morgan has been installed as Larry Tompkins' successor in the Rebel County hotseat.
Morgan, who led Cork to famous All-Ireland title wins in 1989 and 1990, was the people's choice to take on the job following Tompkins' departure after this year's summer of discontent.
Morgan has been linked with the job several times in recent years but the change of rule that will now allow him to pick his own selectors was at the root of his decision to come back.
Morgan also led Nemo Rangers to the All-Ireland club title last March but after their shock exit from this season's county championship the Cork job comes at the perfect time.
