Pharmacists meet minister to discuss administering flu vaccines

Pharmacists are meeting the Minister for Health today to hammer out a deal to provide the winter flu vaccine from pharmacies.

They say it would be cheaper than going to the GP for the flu jab, and the move could save the exchequer and the patient money.

It is the first meeting between the Irish Pharmaceutical Union which represents 1,600 community pharmacists, and minister James Reilly.
