Emergency services have recovered a currach believed to belong to a missing fisherman off the coast of Co Galway.

Emergency services have recovered a currach believed to belong to a missing fisherman off the coast of Co Galway.

The alarm was raised last night when the lobster-pot fisherman, who is in his early 40s, failed to return to shore.

The curragh was found just north of Inismore and is bring bnrought in to Rossaviel.

Deputy divisional controller with Valentia Coastguard John Draper said the search is continuing for the missing man.
