Teenager arrested in connection wth Tralee rape

A 16-year-old has been arrested by gardaí investigating an alleged sexual assault on a woman in Tralee.

A 16-year-old has been arrested by gardaí investigating an alleged sexual assault on a woman in Tralee.

The incident is alleged to have happened earlier this month after the woman walked home from a bar in the Co Kerry town.

She claims she was dragged behind a house and raped and assaulted by at least two men.

The alleged victim also claims she was assaulted a second time at a nearby house by a man whom she believed was coming to her aid.

Her ordeal lasted a number of hours.

The teenager arrested this morning is the third person to be picked up as part of an on-going garda investigation.
