US firm to create up to 100 new technology jobs in Dublin

QLogic, an American-based IT firm, has decided to set up in Blanchardstown.

Qlogic, an American-based IT firm, has decided to set up in Blanchardstown.

The new jobs have been announced by Minister for Enterprise Micheál Martin.

Qlogic Corporation is a California-based group specializing in components for Storage Area Network infrastructure.

The parts are used in servers and workstations manufactured by major IT companies such as Dell and IBM.

QLogic plans to locate its Europe, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Blanchardstown, bringing up to 100 high quality jobs to the area over the next five years.

Additional jobs in technical support, marketing and research will be added to the operation at a later stage.
