Gardaí hunt Skerries bank raiders

Gardaí have begun a search for an armed raider who held up staff at a bank in Skerries with a handgun at 4pm today.

Gardaí have begun a search for an armed raider who held up staff at a bank in Skerries with a handgun at 4pm today.

No shots were fired and no one was injured at the incident, which occurred on the Main Street of the north Dublin town.

The Garda helicopter has been used to assist the search.

It is not known how much cash was taken during the raid.
