Steve Bruce insists his January spending spree is set to continue after completing the signings of Jamie Clapham and Stephen Clemence.

Bruce added to the captures of Ferdinand Coly and Christophe Dugarry by bringing in Clapham and Clemence as they bid to beat relegation.

But Slovakian striker Robert Vitteks, who has spent a week's trial with the Blues, and Arsenal central defender Matthew Upson remain high on Bruce's shopping list.

The City boss is expected to renew his bid for former England Under-21 player Upson after Sunday's match between the clubs at St Andrews.
