A Church of Ireland minister in Co Donegal has called for vandals to be given "a good thrashing" under Garda supervision.

A Church of Ireland minister in Co Donegal has called for vandals to be given "a good thrashing" under Garda supervision.

Canon David Crooks was speaking after his church in Newtowncunningham was attacked on Christmas Eve.

He has described those behind the vandalism as "detestable and filthy vermin" and says they should be sent to prisons like military camps where they are "made to march and march around all day for hours".
