Massini set for racecourse spin

Tell Massini is set to complete his preparation for the Cheltenham Festival with a racecourse gallop.

Tell Massini is set to complete his preparation for the Cheltenham Festival with a racecourse gallop.

The six-year-old is the 9-2 ante-post favourite for the three-mile Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle after winning each of his three starts this term.

Tell Massini is also in the Neptune Management Investment Novices’ Hurdle over two miles and five furlongs but the Albert Bartlett remains the intended option.

“We’re very happy with him. He’s been working exceptionally well and is improving all the time,” said trainer Tom George.

“He is exactly the same weight as he was before he ran at Cheltenham last time, so his weight is just right.

“He will have one more racecourse gallop before the Festival and if we can keep him just as he is now, we’ll be happy. It’s more than likely he’ll go for the three-miler.”
