Gardaí and social services in Galway are investigating an incident in which a four-year-old child broke her collar bone after being left at home on her own.

Gardaí and social services in Galway are investigating an incident in which a four-year-old child broke her collar bone after being left at home on her own.

The little girl was hanging out a window in a three-storey block at Maigh Riocaird on the Headford Road when she fell.

A passer-by called for help and the child was taken to University College Hospital in Galway.
