The GAA has joined the war on smoking and confirmed that from now on Croke Park will be a no smoking zone.

The Jones Road venue is the latest to be made a no smoking zone following the blanket ban imposed on pubs and public places.

GAA President Sean Kelly said: "People are becoming used to a smoke-free environment, so we don’t think it’s fair that somebody sitting in a seat on the stand should be subjected to other people’s smoke.”
