A search operation is continuing off the south-west coast following what is being described as the biggest-ever cocaine seizure in Ireland.
Detectives say more than €100m of the drug has been recovered from the sea between Mizen Head and Three Castles Head following the sinking of a dinghy yesterday morning.
Three young English men were on board the boat, one of whom managed to swim to shore and raise the alarm.
A second was rescued from the water a short time later, while the third is still missing.
One of those men is being questioned by the gardaí and the other is still receiving treatment in hospital.
Gardaí are also searching for two people believed to have been waiting in a van on shore for the consignment.
Around 55 bales of cocaine weighting 20 kilos each have already been recovered and navy divers are due to carry out further searches today.
The drugs are believed to have originated in Colombia.
