Gardaí continue questioning man after Ecstasy haul

Gardaí were continuing to question a man today after the discovery of more than €5m worth of ecstasy tablets in a van stopped near the Co Laois town of Mountrath.

Gardaí were continuing to question a man today after the discovery of more than €5m worth of ecstasy tablets in a van stopped near the Co Laois town of Mountrath.

The find was made as part of an operation involving the gardaí National Drugs Unit.

The 31-year-old man was being interviewed by detectives in Cork.

Meanwhile, two men were released today after gardaí uncovered a haul of heroin in Dublin overnight.

Gardaí said documents had been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
